Peugeot 206 (Diorama)

Description

This Peugeot 206 was my second attempt at building a diorama, created for a model contest.

As with my previous diorama project, the idea had been in my mind for a long time before I finally had the opportunity to bring it to life. Rather than relying heavily on reference materials, I chose to build the scene based on my own image and interpretation of a rally stage environment.

One of the key points of this project was weathering. Because the Peugeot 206 is a rally car, I wanted to add signs of use and dirt while avoiding an exaggerated appearance. My goal was to create a realistic balance that would feel natural and believable within the scene.

Building a diorama in 1/43 scale presents unique challenges, but it is also an extremely rewarding process. Creating not only the car itself but also the surrounding environment adds a completely different dimension to model building.

The most memorable part of this project was receiving an award in the contest. Seeing the work recognized made all the effort worthwhile and remains one of my favorite modeling experiences.
