Ferrari F1/86
Description
The Ferrari F1/86 was produced by Tameo Kits in both early- and late-season specifications. This model represents Stefan Johansson’s #28 car from the 1986 Brazilian Grand Prix.
As an older kit, components such as the suspension and wing endplates were originally reproduced in cast metal. For this build, I incorporated selected detail-up parts from Z Model, using only the components that were appropriate for this particular version.
The kit decals also required some modification. The Agip logos supplied with the kit featured red borders that differed from those seen on the car at the Brazilian Grand Prix. I therefore adapted the Agip markings from Tameo Kits’ Ferrari 156/85 kit for use on this model.
Additional modifications included replacing the headrest and kill switch with newly designed 3D-printed parts to better reproduce these details.
Combining the original Tameo kit with selected aftermarket parts, adapted decals, and newly designed components allowed me to update specific areas while retaining the character of the original kit.
