Panhard-Monopole X88
Description
The Panhard-Monopole X88 was a model I had wanted to build for a long time. However, very little reference material was available, so a friend provided several valuable photographs that helped me research the details of the car.
The windscreen was initially completed once, but I was not satisfied with its shape and decided to remake it. The wheels were also redesigned and produced using a 3D printer because the kit parts lacked sufficient definition for the finish I wanted to reproduce.
For the body color, I used Tamiya French Blue. To create a deeper tone, I first applied a black base coat before spraying the French Blue over it.
The instrument panel was also reproduced in detail, even though most of it becomes hidden once the model is assembled.
With limited reference material available, much of this project involved studying the available photographs and producing or modifying individual parts to reproduce the details of the original car.
