Chevrolet Corvette C3
Description
This Chevrolet Corvette C3 was built for entry into a modeling contest.
The model represents the #28 Corvette C3 entered by John Greenwood Racing in the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Dick Smothers, John Greenwood, and Alain Cudini.
Several small components were newly designed and produced using a 3D printer to reproduce details that were difficult to create using conventional methods.
I also designed and produced original decals for the model. Before producing the final decals, test prints were made and applied to the model to check their size and positioning, with adjustments made before the final version was produced.
The combination of 3D-printed parts and original decals allowed me to reproduce details specific to the 1972 Le Mans car.
After completion, the model received an Excellence Prize at the contest.
