Porsche 963

Description

This Porsche 963 was created from 3D data, with the main body and many of its components produced using a 3D printer.

The tires were printed in a flexible resin, while the window parts were produced by vacuum forming. Custom-designed photo-etched parts were also used throughout the model, including components for the rear wing and other small details.

Several components were newly designed specifically for this project. The wiper was created as a 3D model and printed, while clear resin 3D-printed parts were used for the rear indicator lenses.

The model combines several production methods, including 3D printing, vacuum forming, photo-etching, and traditional model-building techniques. Each method was selected according to the shape and characteristics of the individual components.

The Porsche 963 represents Porsche’s current generation of endurance racing prototypes and competes in the Hypercar class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Porsche has achieved more overall victories at Le Mans than any other manufacturer, making the 963 an important addition to my collection of Le Mans cars.
