Ferrari 296 GT3
Description
This Ferrari 296 GT3 was built from a 1/43 scale Alpha Model kit and modified to represent the #55 car that competed in the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As the original kit represents a different configuration, I obtained a set of 2024 Le Mans decals from Le Mans Decals. Additional components were designed and produced using a 3D printer to reproduce details specific to the Le Mans version.
During the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship event at Fuji Speedway, I had the opportunity to photograph a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the pit lane. Although it was a different specification, these photographs provided valuable references for the body colors and various small details during the build.
The kit contains numerous small and delicate parts, requiring particular attention during assembly and final fitting.
The interior was also painted and detailed, although much of this work became hidden once the body was assembled. Even when these details are no longer visible, I consider them an important part of the building process.
This project involved adapting the original Alpha Model kit to the 2024 Le Mans specification through additional parts, decals, and detailed finishing.
