Cadillac Spider
Description
The Cadillac Spider marked my return to building a resin kit after quite some time.
One of the main areas of work was the rivet detailing. More than one hundred rivets were individually replaced with embedded metal pins. Different types of metal pins were also used to reproduce the various rivets and fittings seen on the original car.
I also designed and produced original decals specifically for this model. Additional work was carried out on areas such as the dashboard and rear license plate, along with numerous small details throughout the model.
The Cadillac Spider, also known as “Le Monstre,” was entered by Briggs Cunningham in the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans. The #2 car was driven by Briggs Cunningham and Phil Walters.
This project involved a considerable amount of detailed work, particularly the individual rivets and fittings, making it one of the more time-consuming resin models I had built at the time.
