Chevrolet Corvette C3
Description
This Chevrolet Corvette C3 was built for entry into a modeling contest.
Throughout the project, particular attention was paid to fine details and overall accuracy. To reproduce small components that would have been difficult to create by conventional methods, a 3D printer was used to design and manufacture several parts specifically for this build.
The decals also required special attention. Before applying the final markings, test prints were produced to verify their size and fit against the model. This process helped ensure that the decals matched the kit accurately and achieved the desired appearance.
By combining traditional model-building techniques with modern 3D printing technology, the project became an opportunity to push the level of detail and precision further than before.
The effort was rewarded when the model received an Excellence Prize at the contest, making it one of the most memorable projects I have completed.
