Ferrari 312/66 #6 Lorenzo Bandini

Description

The Ferrari 312/66 was my first attempt at building a cigar-shaped Formula One car from the 1960s.

The kit was produced by Tameo Kits, and although it is based on a proportional model, I completed it as a full-detail build, including the engine and many of the internal components. Beneath the simple and elegant bodywork lies a complex mechanical structure, and I focused on recreating as much of that detail as possible.

The Ferrari 312 F1-66 marked Ferrari’s entry into the new 3-litre Formula One era in 1966. Powered by a 3-litre V12 engine, the car represents an important period in Ferrari’s Formula One history.

After publication, this model received more attention than many of my previous works. It was interesting to see the continued interest in the Ferrari 312 among motorsport and Ferrari enthusiasts.
