Ligier JS33 #25 René Arnoux

Description

The Ligier JS33 was built from a Tameo Kits 1/43 scale kit representing the 1989 Formula One car driven by René Arnoux.

One of the main objectives of this build was to evaluate the distinctive Gitanes blue finish. For this project, I used Gitanes Blue from Zero Paints, with the intention of applying the results to a future build of the Ligier JS31.

Another important aspect of the project was the use of 3D printing. The mirrors supplied with the kit differed in shape from those seen on the actual car, so I designed and produced replacement parts using a 3D printer.

René Arnoux drove the #25 Ligier JS33 during the 1989 Formula One season. His best result of the year came at the Canadian Grand Prix, where he finished fifth.

After completing the model, I was contacted by Luca Tameo and asked to provide photographs of the finished work. The model was subsequently featured on the official Tameo Kits website.
